• During 27+ years of estate planning experience, Laney has created effective drafting processes for over 300 law firms—new and long-time established estate planning practitioners—to fit their unique needs, including the development of customized language edits and options, as well as drafting design forms.
• Trained over 50 drafting paralegals on conceptual estate planning knowledge, software specifics, and essential discretionary drafting skills.
• Laney worked over thirteen years in a law firm helping shift it to estate planning as a practice area, create and grow a thriving maintenance program with 1,000 members, break a $1M in gross revenue, systemize and train law firms across the country in estate planning processes, and built and launched a community and client relationship model that generated consistent referrals.
• Laney has been instrumental in developing and leading numerous coaching programs for industry colleagues and organizations such as Wealth Counsel’s Practice Development member group, and as a Coach consultant and implementation expert for Lawyers With Purpose.
• Laney co-created and led the Team Assistant Program™—the first nation-wide key assistant coaching program in the country.

I was not always happy practicing law.  For twenty years, I watched bad things happen to good people.  The system was increasingly stacked against my clients and it weighed heavy on my heart.  I considered quitting.  But I still felt called to help people, to use my skills as a lawyer to alleviate suffering, and to bring my clients peace in any way I could.  And then I lost someone I loved very much and found my way to estate planning.

Margaret joined 2HLL in the spring of 2023 to provide the Mindset coaching every entrepreneur needs to start and level up their business. In addition to developing 2HLL's group coaching, she's worked with over one hundred 2HLLs one-to-one on both Mindset and strategic issues, supporting lawyer entrepreneurs as they take their Estate Planning practices from start-up to success.

An experienced strategist and educator, Margaret brings a varied yet complementary background to her coaching. She thrives in intersectional spaces, where she's spent years managing large, complex projects in a number of different industries.

• As 2HLL's Chief Operating Officer, Margaret engages daily with the "behind the scenes" strategic direction, process refinement, and ongoing operations that are critical to any entrepreneur's success.
• She spent 6 years in Human Resources and Information Technology, including incentive compensation plan design, job evaluation for roles from the mailroom to the executive level, and managing the annual bonus payout for a multinational insurance company, experience that led to IT consulting roles for Fortune 500 companies on both the East and West Coasts.
• As an entrepreneur herself, Margaret has experienced and tested strategies for many of the Mindset challenges entrepreneurs face, including a belligerent Inner Critic, chronic overwhelm, a plethora of time management issues, ongoing Imposter Syndrome and doubt, and staying the course through the revenue ups and downs.
• A former author of national best-selling romance fiction, Margaret has shifted to non- fiction, including co-authoring the forthcoming Lifestyle Lawyer Revolution: Live a Life You Love Without Leaving the Law (spring 2025). She's managed the complex requirements for both traditional publishing venues and self- publishing, from concept development through content creation to marketing and promotion.

Leighton Spinks is the Student Success Manager at 2-Hour Lifestyle Lawyer, where she supports students by answering questions, offering guidance, and helping them make the most of their experience in the program. With 8 years of experience as an executive assistant and a background in paralegal studies—Leighton brings a keen understanding of the behind-the-scenes systems that help businesses run smoothly. 

When she’s not managing inboxes, streamlining systems, or supporting entrepreneurs behind the scenes, you’ll find her enjoying good music and spending time with her husband and pet rabbit.

Favour Richard is a Virtual Assistant at 2-Hour Lifestyle Lawyer. Favour supports both the internal team and the member community—providing graphic design assistance and handling basic tasks to help members stay on track and focused on what matters most. 

When she’s not creating tech flows, designing marketing assets, or helping a member with a quick design update, she is spending time with her family and friends.
